Rehoming Bunnies

Rabbits listed here were not bred at our rabbitry. They are from families who have, for a variety of reasons, found themselves needing to rehome their babies and they've asked us for help.

The process for adopting these bunnies is the same as for ours. We will ask you to fill out an adoption application and we will forward it to the owner if they are housing the bunny while it waits for a home. The owner will then contact you and will make arrangements with you for collecting the rehoming fee and picking up the bunny. If we are caring for the rabbit on our property we will be the ones to reach out to you.

These adoptions are not bound by our sales policy and are not under our health commitment unless we have housed them in quarantine for 30 days and are confident of their health. We will only collect the rehoming fee if we have housed and cared for the rabbit(s) on our property, otherwise the fee is paid to the original owner and arrangements must be made with them. Our purpose is only to assist in networking families who need to rehome their bunnies with a community looking to adopt. We do not collect a fee from the family looking to rehome their bunnies.

Meet Luna!
Rehoming fee $100

From her current owner:

"
Luna is an almost-three year old female Holland Lop; her birthday is March 31, 2022. Our family has had her since she was a couple months old. She lives in a hutch outside, and is fed Oxbow Timothy Hay and Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit food. (Both found at Petsmart). She drinks out of a bottle attached to her hutch. She is a sweet bunny, has not been fixed and has not been bred.

Our golden retriever and she have a sweet relationship; he will go check on her and she loves it, he'll even sniff her ears! She loves being able to run around in the grass. Luna is not potty trained. We will provide the adoptive family with any hay or feed that we have, and also the bottle that attaches to her hutch. The bottom of her current hutch needs replacing, so I would recommend that she gets a new hutch/living quarters."
If you're interested in adopting sweet Luna please fill out an adoption form and be sure to indicate that it's Luna you are interested in. We will forward your information to the family and they will reach out to you directly to make arrangements for her pick up and for collecting the rehoming fee.

You will need to purchase the same pellets that Luna is on now even if you intend to change her feed. It's important to transition her slowly. If you intend to give her water from a bowl you will want to be sure to have the bottle available to her as well until she learns to drink from a bowl.

Please feel free to ask us at Tiff and Tom's Rabbitry any questions you may have about how to care for or prepare to bring her home. We have great resources on the Learning Resources page and we have several recommended products we can help you sort through if you have any additional question.

Also, please know that even though Luna is not litter box trained at the moment, a rabbit of any age can be trained rather quickly to use the litter box. Further, if you intend to spay Luna it will only make that process easier. That being said, our rabbits are breeders and are not spayed but they are wonderful with the litter box once they catch on.

These Sweeties Have Found their Forever Homes

At Tiff and Tom's Rabbitry it's our goal to keep rabbits out of shelters. We want to do our part to help find good homes for rabbits in need of them. That's why when the families of these rabbits reached out to us to help them find new homes for their buns we were happy to help.

Unfortunately, it's not always possible to house them on our property. There's a lot that goes into quarantining new rabbits away from our herd and the safety of all of the rabbits is a priority for us. When we can help we will, but when we can't house them we still may be able to help with the process of finding forever homes.

Below are some of the bunnies we took in and found forever homes for. We miss them but we're so happy with their placements!
